Bow River Alberta Fishing Report – August 14, 2020

The water levels on the Bow have started to come down. It still seems higher than past years with flow rate being around 120 cms in Calgary. With this past week of cooler weather water temperatures should be easier on the fish.

We did see some very small PMD’s flying around earlier in the day along with caddis flies and we were rewarded nymphing smaller flies. Later into the afternoon streamers seemed to be working despite the bright afternoon sun and then we even managed to get some dry fly and nymph eats using the hopper/dropper method, again smaller nymphs.
