Bow River Alberta Fishing Report – July 10 2020

With the recent rain the water levels have risen and fallen over the last couple days with it settling in around 230 cms. This didn’t seem to affect the clarity but it did brown the water a little.

Nymphing and streamer fishing was on the agenda for the morning just to see what the fish were more interested in, the first fish was brought to the net stripping a leech pattern and dead drifting stoneflies and leeches also caught fish. Both methods seemed to produce evenly throughout the day and we noticed that the fish have started to become a little more acrobatic than a few days ago. Mid day we did have a fish take a foam fly so it’s never a bad idea to try dries in shallow water along the grassy banks.
